98 GT original trunk mount for Mach system removal


has anyone taken this annoying thing out of their trunks? if so, is it a pain in the ass because i have subs in my car and can not push them back far enough because of this annoying thing i have been meaning to take it out but havent really looked into it too much.

dude they couldn't even get 12s in my trunk i have 2 10s >.<

i doubt 12's would fit anyway depending on how tall your box is - i believe with speakers in the stock location its like 14" from the trunk floor to the bottom of the speakers.

ive ripped out the mach 460 system - you have to run all new speakers and all new wires out from your head unit to those new speakers. its pretty simple actually, if you can follow colors and directions lol.

well the moment you put in an aftermarket stereo in you have to rewire the car anyways all that shit is already done just need that damn thing out of my trunk....

does the box sit flush against the seat back? my buddies got 1 12 but it has to sit partially in the spare tire well lol. i had an empty single 10" box that i never got around to putting a sub in, but it fix perfect against the seat back - and thats the only way id have it really.

my box is just too big the mount gets in the way i just want it out so i will turn it into a project one day....
