we did little research and some people still have issue with the auto's not taking manual shifts. the mach being one of them.

shouldn't be a problem using that Trans-Go kit (if installed properly) because it comes with a new manual valve to fix the manual shifting problems

i know man. me and doc are the ones that put it in, and is main reason why we got it. we almost just redid the auto, but didnt want to deal with it so we just went manual.

theres times when a swap is in order, but for something as minor as the o/p wants, he should be ok with a properly installed (I can't stress the install enough, if the valve body bores are beat up/etc, get another valve body, there cheap as a used unit from trans parts suppliers) HD2 kit.

its not really minor, its more of something i wanted from the get go.

i love my auto for when im lazy.
but i wish i had a shifter.

my last car was a standard jetta (old boxy beat up thing that didnt last for more than a month, hooray for beaters!) and it was fun as hell.

this car ill being using for road courses, and stuff, and it seems like everyone who does that, have manual cars.

i just dont really have to know how to swap a tranny, or hell, even install a shift kit, with me being only 17.

i dont even have a f-ing garage due to the last people who owned our current house. (ill post up pics tomorrow, just to show how bad)

you don't need a garage to install a shift kit, a jack & jackstands & a drain pan will do it.
hell you can even order a valve body already done from Darrin (check link in my sig) & just install it.

if i were to order it, BELIEVE me i would need a garage.

most temperatures during the week have been around 33.

(hates winter, snow, and all of the cold )

because there is a guy near me who is parting out his whole gt.

ive already bought my h pipe from him, going back to buy the bbk lowering springs.
but what i found out is, it still have all of the engine/tranny/rear end.

it has (too me) high miles (148k ) but i could probably getting everything i would need for the swap.
what do you think would be a good price to offer the guy?

the 4r is a good trans, great with little work. its not hard to do the minor upgrades as long as you are patient and willing to get it done.
