limited slip differential

well it the rear end on my car is pretty messed up and it looks like im gonna have to replace it. I was thinking that ths would be a pretty good time to change the differential from a locker to a limited slip. I was wonderin if u guys could tell me if u would recommend this and what kind of perfomance gains I might see.

Limited Slip is perfect for the street but you should also add some 4.10s
and it will get you moving pretty quick. You wont get that ratcheting that is
common with a locker.Eaton makes a nice posi unit

did you have a locker in there now? cause you should have a limited slip unless you changed it before.

put car in nuetral.Raise both rear wheels.turn one of the rear wheels
and if the other turns in the same direction then its posi or a locker.
Mustangs came with posi from the factory not lockers.

Sounds like y'all need an education on the difference between a limited slip and a locker.
