mustang500hp Newbie Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 26	BRAKES!!!!! is it me or are mustang brake kits overwhelmingly spendy? know of any good but less than 1500$? __________________ 1998 mustang GT 4.6l-cobra R rims/Hood -vortec supercharger(10psi) could (30psi) -stage 2 cams-BBK shorty ceramic headers -Flowmaster dual exhaust 3 1/2 inch -3.73 gears-subframe connecters -goodyear eagle F1 -sct ford programmer

HMUSN Doc 91 Sonic Blue Goodness 19.83 @ 12mph Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: NJ Posts: 27,311	nah.. stock Cobra rotors are plain. with 2 pistons. they are a def. upgrade from a 98GT's brakes though. you don't need cross drilled rotors anyway.. they are just for looks.

If you're taking your car to a track day/road racing where you're gonna be heavy on the brakes a lot over an extended time period, slotted/cross-drilled rotors can help prevent brake fade, as they shed heat better.
