Hesitation?

ive got a 97 gt auto and ive been having this problem ever since i got the car.

the car pulls strong, at WOT i cant feel any problem, but under normal acceleration after shifting into third at about 45mph my car kinda chuga-a-lugs along for about the next 5mph then it drives just as smooth as ever. it only happens at that one shift and its really begining to hack me off

Also this morning i turned off the main road at about 15mph and then when i gave it some gas it just reved for a second and then caught(like the trans dissenguaged) When i got home i checked the fluid level and everything looked fine. Also I have started noticing a humming noise thats not comming from the engine, cant tell if its the trany or the diff. Either way its not a grinding noise just kinda like a metalic hum.

any ideas guys?

hmm...sounds like youre auto trans is slipping. Yank the pan and check for metal. The noises could very well be comming from the trans too. Cant be sure though.
