blah blah blah...thats all i see.
i dont feel like reading all of that. Jack youre car up. grab the wheel on the outer edges. Have someone hold onto the tie rod if it wiggles....replace it. Its SO easy. Loosen the 19mm nut place a mark then unscrew it and put the new on. Obviously remove wheel and take off 19mm nut on tie rod. Hit with hammer and it drops down. do the same on both sides. Get alignment. BUmp steer shouldnt be a problem. If you read my link. If youre getting bump steer. Then like Uj. said caster camber plates should fit. If not...you have suspension problems. Also do you have the lowering rack bushings ? The ball joints from steeda are for lowered cars as well. So if youre having bump steer, try that first. To make this a long story short...buy some 20 dollar tie rod ends from autozone or local parts store and replace them./ If the place who did the alignment in the first place said they couldnt adjust them. they are fags. I havent met a tie rod i couldnt adjust yet. Except on Toyota trucks where they break clear off. BUT...Mustangs NO. Just get 2 new ones and be done with the situation.

Okay then I will be checking about the BJ here in a few minutes once I finish tiling! And then this weekend I will have something too do!! I do not have the lower rack bushings, but think that I will pick up some of those on Saturday and my Mustang shop! Is it a possibliliy that the bushings are just worn so that is why there is play in my steering? Thanks

Okay so I got it in the air and could feel play in the toe but not the camber! From what everyone told me that would mean that I need new outer tie rods correct? I might just take it to my Mustang shop or my buddies brake shop and see if they will diagnoise it for free! Thanks and if you have anymore input that would be helpful!

um...im so lost right now.
Im gonna pretend i havent read anything yet.... jack up the front end and tell me where the "play" is...OK And yes the rack bushings could very well be loose. BUT you need to see where the play is first.

I can get my front wheels to move side to side! On the horizontal axis is where I am pushing and pulling at the edge of the wheel/tire to get the play in the steering! The steering wheel is locked when I do that as well. As for the vertical axis if I push on the top and bottom of the wheel there is no play! If you need more info I will be more than happy to jack it up again, and actually look at the steering when my dad is pushing and pulling on the wheels! I was alone last night so I couldnt really do both at the same time! Thanks!

Oh okay thats what my other guess would have been! Thanks and I think I will wait til casper answers and then call up my mustang shop tommarow and see if what I describe is just bad bushings or tie rods or both! Thanks
