Convertible Top Replacement

Has anyone been down this road before. I need to know how/if the back window comes out. Do I need to get a new top with a new window?

the local shop here told me that since i need a new back window i should get a top too because they have to take the top off just to put in the new back window and the labor would be nearly as much as a complete top. Personally I would like to tackle this project myself but I cant find any experienced guys to lend me advice. Plus I want to buy the new cloth tops that are offered instead of another vinyl top. The vinyl tops draw up with the heat from the sun.

is that for the 99-04 or the 96-98. I'm looking for 96-98.

so im going to assume thats for the 96-98. I always thought the hard-tops weighed 35 and the verts were skywards of 37.

I did a whole conv. roof replacement a few months ago. I also had to replace the entire back window because the sides were all in bad shape, and wouldn't work with the new roofing. If you've got the money, a Canvas roof is better than the standard vinyl setup, lasts longer and give the car a richer more european look, I love it.

Does anyone have any objections to a green mustang convertible with tan leather interior and a black top? I'm trying to get peoples opinions. I'm pretty sure my car is the same color as MustangMatt96GT.

I think that that would look better than a white top!

a white top with tan leather would look retarded. If i did that i deserve to be beaten with a wrench. Twice.

yeah I think that the black will look best on the Deep Forest Green! I love our color! I wish the 99-04s had this color!
