EGR restrictor????

Well I just bought an EGR restrictor for my mustang and put it in. it it worth having one? it seems to run a lil cooler. but i cant tell the difference that well. I kept the old gasket just because i was gonna try the restrictor out. any cons to the restrictor? I know its supposed to lower the MPG a lil if any...
just thought Id get other opinions..... Thanks you guys!

nope thats only if you completely close off the EGR. the restrictor has a smaller hole to let some in so it mount throw a code.
