NPI or PI intake Manifold

Well I bought my car about 2 weeks ago. The previous owner didnt know what he was talking about half the time, and said the upper plenum busted and had to be replaced?, but anyways come to find out I believe the stock plastic intake manifold busted. I have found out that the manifold has the aluminum crossover on it. I was wondering how could you tell if he put a PI intake manifold or a NPI manifold on the car?
