Cam Swap On SOHC 4.6 1998 GT

hey im lookin into buyin sum cams out of a pi car not aftermarket but just out of a pi car .... would the swap be worth it for the power n sound

well i just wasnt sure how much power id b gettin because they r just stock ones out of a pi car not aftermarket

im not sure , i havnet seen any PI swaps where i live, not may 4.6s modded around my area of the woods. pushrod guys here

Now i was ready to fire it up.

Started good and sounds very nice.

Just a few things i have noticed.

First off it runs better, i dunno why but it does. The motor doesnt shake NEARLY as much now.

Sounds much louder. Not so much the CAM sound, but alot differerent sound.

Much more powerful above 2700rpms. I only pulled up to 5k rpms, but much better. Stronger and along with the PI intake i have it feels alot stronger then a stock 99+ car.

When i take the car up to 3-4k rpms and let off....it comes down alot better and is much more responsive.

yea not many crazy mods around here either my buddy has an 02 but its stage 3 cams so the thing lopes so hard ... sounds mean

no it wasn't....

casper did PI cams.

I talked to him about it right after he did it via pm.

those r just comp boxes
