They came out of a 2004 GT. The car felt amazing after installing. The intake didnt impress me much, but combined with the cams car felt very powerful. Very easy install and for 100 bucks of less for parts you cant go wrong.

thats a good write up on the cam swap on the npi...it made me want to try my swap...no pi intake yet but its on the way...now when i changed out my cams i didnt have the ford tools to do it with..so i went for it...but i noticed when i got in there all i had to do was move as many lobes up so the valves are closed and wiggled the cam gears off ... i set the cam down ,i hooked a pair of vise grips in the middle while bolting down the front girdle, then once i got the cam bolted in on the front i turn the cam to line up the keyway notch so i could just slide the cam gears onto the cam...i know its kinda gettoredneckish, but it work out and i didnt have to fork over a 100 bucks for the tool...and it does run smoother, and sounds a lil diffrent cant really tell that the lil extra power is there but maybe when i throw the intake on i will, now as for saying the rear bolt on the valve covers has a 13mm bolt? all mine where 8mm or 5/16..same size, the only bolt that was diffrent was the dipstick case bolt 10mm?...maybe some have the diffrent sizes on the covers?...no car is the same ... but i gotta thank the guy that wrote this cam write up...thanks again man..and by the way im new to moddedmustangs site so ...HOWDY!!! everybody...lets race

thanks casper...you seem like ya know your shyt when it comes to engines...i love pushrod engines (331)strokers mainly...anyways...with my 97mustang i have a few cookie cutter bolt ons like...ad.fuel press reg. set on 41psi.,x-pipe no cats,1chamber flows,u/d pulleys, accel coils,75mm tb,trick flow plem, with spacers on both,90mm lighting maf, cai, mac timing adjuster,a/c delete,lt headers, march fluid damper, sniper delta force programer inter face,42lb injectors,100hp shot of dry juice,pi cams,intake,...4.10 gears just aint put them in yet...well what im wondering is how much rwhp could i be making ...and also with those 42lb injectors...i know there to big for my combo...but will the bigger injectors make my 4.6 run to rich even though i can calibrate them to my mass air meter ...sniper tuning of course...ive heard people say that you can run a bigger injector...but the car well engine is only going to use what it has to???is this true or do i need to buy 19lbs to go back in her?...cause i did my intake swap today,& when i took out my injectors 4 of the injectors pental caps where cracked...i got the 42lbs off ebay and there like brand new...and was just wondering if i could throw them on there and not flood out the lil. 4.6...any feedback will be great ...thanks again man..l

ok, so yesterday I did the PI cam swap with my friend. We didn't really romp on the car all that much, just made sure everything ran and there were no leaks. I could feel more power, but because i didn't romp on her, she really only felt like she was running smoother.

Well today i took the car out and ran her through some hell. cycled through the gears at 5400rpms up to about 100 then backed off in 4th. Combine with PI intake, Cams, and 4.10's my car pulled like of MOFO. She feels faster then my old 03GT, and 95Z28. I really drove the car for all she was worth today, and she just feels like she should.

It's hard to decribe it, but the car runs so much better and I could actually hear a difference in the way she idles and revs. Between the Intake and Cams it was about 500 in parts and materials, and well worth it IMO.

What year were your cams off of? And will someone explain to me the difference between bolt-on and press-on? You can't degree them as in adjust timing or ?? I'm still a noob x.x
