Whatever you do spend some money and get a good quality one. Don't buy that no name brand one from American muscle.

From what I've heard about shifters the 2 most popular ones seem to be MGW or the Pro 5.0 shifter.

Whoever says that MGW is ugly, is a dumbass. The boot and shift knob cover everything anyways, and I can say that the MGW is the best short throw shifter out there. I have had Pro 5.0, Currently have a TriAx on my DD and my fast car has the MGW... MGW is the best by far. Smooth and crisp with the most adjustability and the STRONGEST "centering" spring of all the companies.

Thank you for your opinion on the mgw but s281 is not a dumbass at all. He's helped me out multiple times and his opinion is just as good as yours. He doesn't have to like it just because you do. I still think that I'm going to go with the mgw but take other people's opinions into account too even if you don't like it.

I disagree.... ONly a dumbass would make a decision on what shifter to get, based on the way it looks (as opposed to the way it performs). Considering that you can't see the shifter, because of the shifter boot and knob, that is a dumbass thing to say lmao...

Some people care about their cars looks as well as it's performance. You are more than entitled to your opinion but watch how you speak of and to other members here. You may want to read the rules for this site again. You may want to pay attention to rule # 2.

Does this look familiar?

"Keep your flaming to yourself if you can't make your points without writing like this."

It should as you are the one who wrote it in another thread.

I love my MGW....wouldn't trade it for any other shifter! Once the boot is on you can't tell what kind of shifter it is by looking at it.

How does this rationale even apply when you can't even see the shifter? Check and Mate... That's like saying that I didn't port my heads, because it would make the ports look ugly... No one is going to see the ports, and likewise about the shifter...

Looks bad to me. Like a broken arm waiting to be set. I don't like the way it looks. I am perfectly fine with a tri-ax. I don't know why this is hard for you to understand, but I AM ENTITLED TO MY OPINION JUST AS YOU ARE.

As far as the "check and mate" comment I assume you are talking about my avatar. That is a picture of the final board in the first game my son BEAT ME AT. I keep it there as a sort of pride that I taught him well enough that he became good at it. It is also a reminder that now matter how good you are at something there is always someone better.

Its a matter of opinion.... I have driven a MGW, Triax, and Pro 5.0

I was able to powershift my pro 5.0 ALL day long, never once had any issues...

the triax, I hated, honestly would rather use a stock shifter...

The MGW was a nice feel, but it was not adjusted (the handle) how I would like it. if I had to buy another one, I would be doing a Pro 5.0 again.

I've got the steeda short throw and it's nice. It's a lot easier drifting because you can break the tires in first and quickly shift into second if youre good enough.
