Throwout Bearing Arrow?

Was looking at my new throwout bearing that i put on the clutch fork and i noticed its not a perfect circle it kind of has as arrow on the circle kinda like a " O>", i was wondering which way does that arrow need to be facing. Is the arrow supposed to point to the pivot ball side or the clutch cable side? Also when i have everything on how much space is supposed to be inbetween the clutch forks and the throwout bearing with no pressure on the clutch peddle, like 1/4 inch right? Thx and reps for the help.

Put the TOB in the Clutch Fork with the point pointing up towards where the pivot stud sits. The TOb should be about 1/8" away from the pressure plate fingers. You should check this part out :Clutch Freeplay Kit: Theres also sites that show how to make your own freeplay kit you just have to search for them.

Sweet thanks for the help, il check it out but first i gotta wrestle this transmission back on and somehow clear the input shaft over the new clutch fingers without damaging them.

I had the stang up really high off the ground on jack stands and was able to angle the tranny hack so that the back of the transmission was pointing towards the ground then I slid the transmission forward so that the input shaft was passed the pressure plate fingers without hitting anything then I lifted up the back of the transmission, slid it in a little bit more then was able to lift the back of the tranny level enough to slight the input shaft into the pilot bearing and onto the engine block.
