Bassani parts

Hello,
Good to finally be back home and not in some other country's sand.

The 96 Mystic Cobra I have had since new has the full Bassani Exhaust
including the X chamber with their cats from them all welded in place.
This installed back in 2000. Well It appears that the right side cat is
getting lazy. I need to have it for tech inspection at track events and
can not find the cat. Bassani has not replied to my emails. I am going to
call them next week. This is a high dollar stainless setup. I hope they
still have good phone support like they did 10.5 years ago.

Should I just get some monster high flow cats and replace both sides?
I can weld stainless and have no problem doing the work.

The sad thing is the car has less than 50k miles and these cats have less
than 20k miles. Just sitting is not a good thing for cats. Seeing as the car
has to pass smog also I need to get this done. I have several months, but
wanted to get it handled before the track days start.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi flow cats will work fine.

In my honest opinion though, call them up. If they can replace it for you then also grab an o/r x or h pipe. then after you get it etested/smog whatever its called were you live then just swap the o/r pipe on. More power and much better sound.

Thanks, I do of the Bassani o/r x chamber in stainless also. I am allowed to use it with
the Shelby club events. The SCCA is mandates the cat. Also without the cat the car
exceeds the DBs allowed at a couple of tracks. It is amazing how loud the thing is
with the cats off the car.
