Hanging rpms after sct tune

Ive had my tuner for around 2 months now. At first I was told that I was having the problem because I had a JET maf calibrated for my injectors. So I put the stock Maf back on and had Bama send me a tune to adjust for the injectors and stock Maf. But my rpms still hang horribly when the car is tuned and I never had a problem with them hanging stock. I read today about the IAC gasket trick and Im thinking about trying it. Has anyone else had this problem after the Tune? Its becoming very frustrating that I paid almost $400 for the tuner and cant even use it.

sounds exactly like a tps, since having my handheld tuner and mods my car ruins the TPS once a year..i blame full throttle for that. But it never fully goes out,it does exactly like you said and pay attention to when you GUN it, your gears will probly change at a bit diffrent RPM's if its an auto.Is some how the tune throwing extra voltage at your TPS.?

I had the same problem with my car, and I did the Beer can mod. Now the rpms dont hang! But you want to make the hole the size of a hole puncher for the new "gasket". But also when I did this, The car idles at like 600-650 when its cold but when it warms up, its at like 850-900.

I went ahead and just ordered one of the premade ones from ebay just because I work 40+ hours a week and I have classes at college ontop of that and dont have time to make one. But hopefully it fixes my problem. When Im running on the stock tune the car runs fine. But on my sct tune is when the rpms hang. is that what happened with you?

I have heard of people doing that but one of the most important things is the hole size. And Ill try to find the link later on today that shows what the different hole sizes do.

If the problem only arises with the Bama tune, and goes away when you return it to the stock tune, then it's obviously an issue in the tune file and should be corrected by your tuner.

Car is finally tuned and running after 3 different tunes. Rpms still hang a little but nothing major. Its just a little bit more than stock, so Ill still use the IAC plate and see what happens. Blakenel1122 if you could still find me the link to the different hole diameters it would be great.

Welp. I did the restrictor plate with a 1/4 inch hole. Made very little or no difference. I even got new injectors to see if that was the problem. Ive been calling the tuners at BAMA trying to get it fixed but they cant figure it out either. Any ideas?

Also, my car idles higher now. It idles right around 1,000rpm maybe 900 when fully warm. I checked the voltage at the tps sensor and I got 1.2v which is double what it should be at idle. Although it is idling higher so that would probly cause the tps to show more voltage.

Are these readings coming from your car with the pre-made one from ebay?

just go buy all new sensors..install them and se if it works. if not just go return them and eliminate them from your list of possible problems..but it sounds like a tune problem.
