FI means Forced Induction. Going FI means to get a supercharger or turbocharger.

how many miles? cobra engine will fit, alot of work though. 99-04 gt engines are a good idea as well. 260hp to start with. and can be found for reasonable prices.

is it an auto or stick?

Cobra engine is much easier said than done. Especially if you're talking 03/04 Cobra. Otherwise a 96-98 isn't too bad, especially if you just opt to locate a 96-98 MKVIII motor.

Just find a Mark VIII motor, put on the 96-98 cobra intake manifold and intake cams and call it a day. You'll basically have a cobra engine minus the forged crankshaft, right? and if you put on longtube headers, underdrive pulleys and exhaust you'll have over 300+rwhp NA.

96-98 cobra swap is a dirent drop in gentlemen, not difficult at all, with the exception of tunning and IMRC deletes if you dont have a cobra ECU. Even a 03/04 swap isn't that difficult at all. The first mod I would do is 4.10 gears out the back.

It will bolt up buuuuuut...

I believe 96-98 is return style fueling, and 04 is returnless. Not to mention the 04 will suck a lot of fuel, so you'll have to upgrade your fuel system either way. Either you can get a big pump for your tank and get a return style fuel rail for the engine, or put in the 03/04 Cobra gas tank.

Also hopefully it will come with a harness. A 03/04 Cobra ECM would be nice, but not necessary. You can reflash yours if need be. If you don't have a harness well, be prepared to do some serious wiring work.

And you will need 4v style exhaust manifolds.

You'll need to run a complete liquid to air intercooler system if you plan on urilizing the existing intercooler.

I might be missing some other small details as well.

They're also pretty damn expensive. How much are you looking to spend here?

It sure will look purdy though...
