E3 spark plugs

Was going to do plugs and wires on my 98 gt. Just pulled a few to see what condition they are in. They look really good and clean and not very old. So probably hold off on the new ones. Question is. It has E3 plugs in it with motorcraft wires. Never heard of E3 plugs. Anyone have and facts on these? Or opinions from actual use?

They worked good on my wifes 1.8T VW so I tried them out on my trailblazer and the coils didnt sit tight over them and some moisture got in the coil during a heavy rain and one of the coil packs fried. After that I didnt ever want to use them again.
