this 1998 mustang gt a good idea?


so i have been looking to sell my v6 auto in favor of a v8 manual, and i happened appon this beauty, 1998 MUSTANG GT- 4.6 5 SPEED-80K-FL CAR! but i have no idea if that is a good deal or what to look for if i go check it out does it look like a good car to you guys? what would you recomend me to look out for if i go to see it?

It looks to be in very good condition, but IMO that doesnt warrant a 6k asking price. maybe like 4-5k. dont be fooled by the adult owned comment. you should see how all the adults in my family drive LOL.

if your in the 6k price range i would search a little longer. hell

yea its a little over priced the most i would pay for that car is 5k, and if he does $5300 i would do it but def. not $5900

But it def. is very clean

also if your hellbent on a gt make sure your willing to do a PI swap or just get a 99+ trust me your in for a rude awakening if your buying a 96-98 for performance.

I picked up my 97 Cobra for $5500. It's in mint condition with 85k

6k is alot,lol you could have my car for 3k with the pi heads,if it were still for sale..wow 6k...it better be a gold plated 4.6

honestly, i would hesitate to spend anything over 3500 on anything non PI, due to the year and the power, unless it has like 75,000 actual miles...those prices are steep for those cars..or you can wait untill colder weather hits and the price of these cars drops with the temps..

It's a nice car but not that nice. Even with the custom wheels, new tires CAI, new clutch and gears I still wouldn't go over $4500 for it.

Seems kinda high, I bought my 97 cobra for 6g's with 47000 miles.
