Damn Plastic manifold


Well i have had my 97 GT for about a week now and i already cracked my intake manifold where it connects to the heater hoses!! Napa sells the replacement for about 300$ but where is the best place to get an aftermarket one that will last and not put a dent in the wallet? please help

well since u need a new intake manifold u might as well upgrade to the PI intake from the 99-04 mustang gts. it will give u more horsepower and cost u about $200 on ebay

or get ahold of me and i think i can still get the pi from work for 175 plus shipping, id have to check monday for sure but thats what i think. its been a few months since ive gotten one out

You will also need a new coolant tube and nipple and intake gaskets and they will cost you around 100 dollars more!

WOW thats a deal then!

I got my PI intake for free just shipping, but then I have spent around 115 for the extra parts! I also got 20 new injector orings for 40 bucks!

it helps to work at a parts store for fords, we supply motorcraft to the dealers in my area. my boss is hooked up good with ford, the jerk ordered a gt500 for himself and just last week they called and asked if he wanted to buy an orange one that they just got in. so he will have one and so will his wife.

i can do 225 shipped for the pi and 250 shipped for npi

odd that the npi is more but that is the way it worked out.

I have a 98 and it didnt need to use a different tube and i read that you can ust the same one from the npi but you have to modify it to work

That intake in those pictures is not made by ford! First of all it has a redish pink plenum gasket, and second it has the holes in the manifold! It is still a PI, just made by somebody else than Ford!

I would jsut get one off ebay...They are only $209 from Ford and thats at regular cost...

You can find PI and NPI intakes for around $100 used...

the ones off of ebay do not come with a warrenty do they were as these come with a one year warranty as long as you keep a reciept.

and where do you go for the warranty mine is through parts plus im sure there is one of them around most areas, where as online is online usually send it in wait and see

I like the intake pictured, looks like you shave a tiny bit of weight off with that one having the holes inbetween a few runners.
