So Many Options......
Well just wanted some input on the topic of super chargers for the NPI cars. I have been looking around at them. From the vortec to KB. Just wanted some feedback on the kits.
Any suggestiongs on brand? I would like to push around 10+/-psi, and have around 400hp. This power with PI intake and cams. Thanks :lala

I want to do a Vortec T-Trim so I have room for improvement, but I like the prochargers self containing oil!

the self contained oiling system, is 1 thing that sold me on procharger. I dont want to drill and tap my oil pan. But thats not the only reason.

i would get pi heads so that they flow better. even with pi cams and intake your not going to flow as good as pi heads. you can get them used all day long for like 300 with cams. you'll have big gains and then you can supercharge it. trust me its worth it my 97 put 195rwhp down. pi is the best way to go

i believe that bigmike has an 04 motor swap, not just a PI swap, so he doesn't run into the compression issue your talking about. But curiously, bigmike, you said you put down 195 on your 97. Was this when it was all stock. I've heard averages of 185 for our cars. Im not trying to argue, because every car is different, every run is different, ie you could have gotten your car brand new and dynoed it right away, or the cars that were used in this averaged comparison where high mileage and beaten to hell.

I decided not to do the entire head swap for the increase in compression. Thus only inake and cams. I really like the roots type superchargers anyone deal with them?

i would get your NPI heads p&p, and then go with pi cams/intake unless your going to get the kb cause that will take care of the intake! i am also going to do this to my car very soon!

i only have an 1/8th mile track here in clarksville and the car goes 8.71 with a 2.21 60ft on street tires. and yes i have the complete pi swap. once you go pi you'll never mess with npi. trust my i've had 2 npi cars and this is the best. haven't run the car since i put the upper and lower control arms on yet. ass for the flow deal, it is the combustion chamber, but either way its better. my none pi car put down 195. that sucks. with minor bolt ons.
