brake upgrade


Im on a 97 cobra on stock rotors and they are about to die. is this a good upgrade kit ?

Yes, but I would look for rotors that are not drilled, just slotted. I have used drilled rotors a few times on a few different cars and they all developed cracks between the drill holes. Chances are that you are not going to be heating them up enough to actually take advantage of the drilled holes anyway.

While this is true, it's because one is not following proper braking techniques on the street. I have been running a set of cross-drilled rotors for a couple years with no issues of cracks. I have spend a day running around Infineon and probably 20 HPDE days on them. They are actually going to get replaced here in a few months, as I want to throw a new set on there and have the existing ones re-surfaced. I will keep them in storage for a quick swap one day. With this said, I am also running Brembo's, so probably part of the reason they have held up well
