Seafoam

Okay so I have been thinking of running some seafoam through my car, and have a few questions. First question is: Is it safe to run this throught a car with 122K miles, will I ruin any seals or gaskets? Second is: How do I exactly do this? Do I have to change the oil once I am finished? Third is: What would Engine Restorer do for my engine? Is it safe and do I need to change the oil after doing that as well? Thanks!

I just want to use a nice engine restorer/ cleaner because my engine has never seen any before! Thanks!

Do a search.

I have talked about it in a few posts before.

Its safe, run it through. No need for an oil change.

i have run it through alot of different ways, in the gas, in the oil, through a vacumm tube and they all do work if different ways for different things. you ought to be able to get it through any parts store we sell it the part number is sf16 it a whopping $5 a can, they also make a trans tune that cleans auto valve body out nicely

depending on how you use it....seafoam is a 3 step cleaner....you use 1/3rd in you oil...1/3rd in your gas....1/3rd in you vacume system....i used it on my cavi and it has 145k on it and it worked great...now if you use it in yo oil i personally would change the oil after bout 500 miles of it being in there....the rest will clean itself out....make sure you do this in a place that is WELL ventalated...dont do it in a garage....when it goes threw the vacume system itll smoke like hell where it is cleaning every thing out

makes a nice smoke screen when you are trying to hide for the cops when playing cops and robbers. youll see the cloud for a mile its pretty funny. when you put it in people will come over and ask if you are having problems

all this advice came from casper thanks

I used the seafoam 4 days ago on my 96 with 124k miles on it and its done nothing but bring life back in my car. It idles better, it runs smoother, seems to have the power it should have not the power it did have. I am a true beliver love the shit. Just pour 1/3 in the gas 1/3 in the oil and 1/3 in the pcv valve which is in the passanger side valve cover. Shut it off wait 5 minutes fire it up drive around a while giving her hell to blow it out of the vacum system. The smoke stoped in about 2 minutes. alot of these directions are also on the can which i found out after hounding casper for directions lol sorry casper

Well the can says to only use a 1/3 of a pint in the vaccum system, but should I use a third of the can?
