Shorty Headers
i have a 98 gt all stock can anyone tell me if there are any hp gains by switching to shorty headers.i'm also go to use a bbk h pipe no cats and FRPP 2 1/2" cat back with 3" tips

No not really, maybe 5rwhp. You'll get alot (15ish rwhp) from the h-pipe though, maybe 2-3hp from from the catback. Shorties are really a waste IMO, better than nothing if you've got no other options (like emissions restrictions) but it doesn't look that way for you. Longtubes or bust!

Shorty headers are a waste of time and money. If you are going to spend the time and money to swap headers go with full length headers right away.

I know I don't have a 4.6L, but if you have no emissions, and if you are replacing headers, don't consider anything other than long tubes. Long tubes are the way to go

you might also consider the bassani opti leingh headers they are a little easier to install and dont have the ground clearence issues of the long tubes
