Suspension
Got a little extra money as was looking into getting some suspension mods right now i just have BBK lowering springs an the eibach kit. Was looking at weld in subframe connectors an controls arms just trying to see if these or worth the money or should the money be spent elsewhere. The car is daily driven but raced street an strip very often.

The first things you should do is install a pair of full length subframe connectors. This is will eliminate the chassis flex and give the car a more solid feeling. Then move to a good set of control arms like MaxiMo's. This is reduce wheel hop on launch. Then you can install lowering springs with a good set of matched struts and shocks and CC plates if you max out ur stock alignment plates.
1 FLSFC's 2 LCA's 3 Lowering springs with struts and shocks and CC plates if needed Just my 2 cents. ![]()

Full length weld in sfc's are worth more than they cost. It's one of the best mods out there. I would get a good set of lowers to go with them if you can and replace the upper control arm bushings with new stock rubber replacement while you are at it. That used in conjunction with the drop springs and eibachs you already have will make a world of difference over the stock setup.

I agree Jazzer, street racing is not cool, maybe a little showing off is ok.
I built a 4 cyl. pony stock car for round track racing for about $2500. I have a blast with that. I put my pretty much stock mustang on the street and drive like grandma. |

I think that much of the time "street racing" is used to describe just getting on it and opening 'er up a bit, but certainly not always. It may not apply to this particular case, but I just hit the roof when I see guys racing on the street or showing off big power via breaking loose the ass-end on in traffic.
I actually saw a vid several months ago where a guy was doing so on the highway with cars all around in regular traffic! Running up on drivers and drifting into other lanes, scares the hell out of people. Sometimes, they think the guy has lost control and over-react to the guy messing around this way. We can all say that the other guy "freaked out" and over-reacted, but cannot prepare for how OTHERS will respond to such activity. That is the image I see when I hear "street racing" in a post ![]() Jazzer

I agree out here it is an issue with the import cars etc. You always here about another street racing getting killed. So ya it is not safe and people do it irresponsibly on the street.

You would be surprised, i see lost of mustangs just as bad as the imports in my area. The only general group of cars that drive normal are the foxbodies and a few sn95's. The new edge and s197's v6's are crazy over here.

It's funny as hell when I drive. I drive like grandma and that's the way itll stay, I drove like a jackass when i was a teenager and learnt my lesson well about how to respect roadways and other commuters. Now that my profession is truck driving, I cant stand idiots that fly past me, cut in and out, do doughnuts in the road at 2 am when im parked on the street sleeping.. its all about respect and unfortunately, many peole have none of it.

whats respect? schools now a days teach nothing, only way for these idiots to learn now a days is to kill friends or innocent people..isnt it great that it has to come to that to make a kid realize that because his tires smoke when he pulls the ebrake at 110 and cuts the wheel doesnt make him cool? i mean i cant say i havent done any of this before..but compared to what i used to do...i do drive like a granny now...60 in the slow lane to work everyday getting passed by trucks, buses and minivans and the occasional ricer flybyand they got you on the right idea so far...sub frames. bump steer kit, c/c plates....then some nice shocks/struts to match it all and some good rear control arms..

If you drive it harder, not suggesting you do, they will be of greater noticeable benefit

Haha gotta love Jazzer.
Ya SFC are always a good mod to start with, gives yourself a solid foundation to start building on. But for the love of god do only race on TRACK not the STREET.

Yes.... an aftermarket set of LCA's, will give you a better dig and take a little general slop out of the rear-suspension. Just about all different manufacturers would be an upgrade from OEM, but my recommendation would be to get a set with at least on spherical end on them. This will help to improve rear-axle articulation and make The Jazzer a proud kitty
![]() Depending on your ULTIMATE goals, I would refer you to different manufacturers. I would say that Super Sports are probably not the best spring for the launch pad, if into it, so how what are your needs as a driver? Jazzer
