First time to track with 96GT.....

Well I decided to go ahead and take the 96GT stang to the track yesterday. It's a 1996 Mustang GT auto with the stock 3.08 gears and regular street tires. Only mods it has are a PI 3200 converter, off-road h-pipe, Magnaflow catback and a MAC cold air kit. Drove the car over a hour to the track and after getting there I went thur tech and jumped right in line. First pass the car went a 14.63@91mph. On that pass it had a 1.98 60ft. Let the car cool down for about an hour and then tried again...went a 14.59@92mph w/1.97 60ft. How's that for an auto stang with the above mods?

Sounds like a pretty good run. Good 60 foot times on street tires!

Yep...I just picked up a set of 3.73 gears for free from my cousin. About to get a Transgo shift kit and some Mickey Thompas drag radials to go along with them!!!

Went to the track this past Friday w/ my 98 GT auto and current mods (check my garage) and Nitto 555r Drs. Ran 13.8 @ 99mph w/ 1.9 60' time (maybe could of done Better). So def. w/ some gears and drags you will def. get some better #s especially w/ your 60' times.

SHHHHH...Do you smell that?
