Thoughts on Flowtech Longtubes? Just picked up a set W/ o/r X pipe

I thought to my self while I was waiting for a PI motor swap, why dont I buy long tubes? So I did some research on prices and I decided on the flowtech's cause they were cheap, and they were not some off brand, they come from holley. And these headers are a step under hooker headers which are made from holley as well. And I also decided on these because I didn't need the flashy chrome plated, creamic plated whatevers. I thought that it was more for looks, and I'm going to be heat wrapping my headers anyways. These are the black painted ones which is good for me. And the whole kit came with the o2 extensions for the front which I thought was nice. And I had another question. What kind of gains will I see from this set up? I came from stock manifolds and a catted bassani x.
Thanks for any advice or opinions.

Good choice on the flowtechs now if u ever need to drop your tranny u wont have to take off the passenger longtube unlike with BBK and MAC and etc etc. I wish i could afford some Kooks and a off road shorty midpipe. If you have a PI swap already id guess the new longtubes will get you 5-12 HP and probably the same if not more torque then HP.

Did you also buy the flowtech midpipe? catted or no cats? But let me know how they fit when you put them on, iv read about a passenger side exhaust leak because of the style of connection that they have. But definitly keep us posted on the fitment and any noticeable gains and how u like them whenever u get to putting them on!

i wouldnt wrap your headers, the wrap will absorb water and rot your headers out without you even knowing. Have been there and done that on another vehicle. I have flowtechs and love them. When you get them, check the flange to make sure it is straight. If its not, use a belt sander and make them straight. Also dont use the gaskets that come with them

Thats good to know when dropping the tranny, might need that further down the road. and yeah kooks would be nice! but very pricey haha. And yeah its going to be a PI motor going in like i had before. And yeah I got the Catless mid pipe with it. And Im not going to be installing these my self because I dont have the place or the tools to do it. Ill ask the mechanic how it was and let you guys know!

Wow looks good! and im guessing you painted yours? cause every set i have seen are black. but with the drivers side header, the one with the EGR fitting, you know how it comes disconnected? do you have to get that welded?

make sure when you do the install you drop the k-frame and save yourself tons of head aches

also set aside a whole day for the install if you have not done a header install on one of these cars before

its a slip fit, they slide together and once there warm they seal up
