Timing Cover

I'm swapping in a '03 Explorer 4.6L engine into my '98 Mustang and using my '98 Mustang timing cover and oil pan. I looked up an '03 Mustang timing cover gasket and compared it to a '98. The part #'s are different so do I use a timing cover gasket for a '98 or '03 Mustang? I guess the difference would be due to the PI heads?

you should use the one for your timing cover because it actually goes inside your timing cover. but i was pretty sure all the 4.6 are the same or atleast thats what i found when i did my pi swap

^ Yup. Use the one that came in your timing cover.

Great. Can the Explorer valve covers be used and I need a Mustang oil pick-up tube/screen? The engine is a WAP (Windsor Aluminum Plant), which I believe is a Windsor block with Romeo heads?

Use the pickup from your mustang.
