need help from everyone who has installed a bumpsteer
so i have looked into a bump steer for a long time now. At one point I had the MM bumpsteer kit in my possession. I looked over the instructions and it seemed very difficult. Then i never got to install it and ran into financial difficulties and had to sell it. Now I want another one to install this winter. Now heres where i need the help
I looked it over and The instructions to MM's bumpsteer is pretty easy, however, they say if you have modified your front suspension at all you need to calculate your bumpsteer and correct it with the different spacers and such. Now I am lowered on sportlines with c/c plates. My question is has anyone just simply installed the kit as the instructions say for stock geometry and had no problems? because reading through all the steps to calculate bumpsteer seems very confusing to me. so who has installed a bumpsteer, what kit did you use, and how are the results?

I think the MM instructions are over-kill for the VAST amount of people that are installing these kits. Ideally, the steering rack should be level with the arms going from one side to the other. My own cars tie rods are at least 1" higher on each end... lol
They have been fine for 5+ years now with some bump-steer, but is completely managable. Jazzer

I wonder if the bumpsteer correction is noticeable when driving, or is just to correct the bumpsteer after changing the ride height.

It has to do with changing the ride height and can be noticed when a sudden droop of suspension happens. Whether your car be lower or higher (better NOT be higher
) the arms become essentially "shorter" because the relative elevation between the steering rack and the spindle differs. The amount of difference creates bump-steer and is not usually much issue until one drops beyond 1.5" or so.Jazzer
