Just OEM black. I was thinking about painting it the new ford blue but then I saw one in my area that color and it kinda ruined it for me. So black it is.

Sweet pictures, loving the spoiler too. Black is the way to go! Any other colour you add, for accents and what not always work with it.

Im painting it at my college. We recently had everything switched over to waterborn and we got a new paint booth. Hoping to spray primer saturday and have the entire car done, wetsanded, buffed, everything detailed before thanksgiving. I only get about 4 hours a week to work on it so its been taking a while.

lol i just need to find someone around here that will let me borrow a booth..no one will rent out a booth around here...sucks..im not paying someone thousands of dollars to do what i can do myself...

Just paint in your garage. Make a make shift booth by hanging up plastic all around the walls and floor, and set up a fan for ventilation. And painting is not a DIY type of deal man, you have to have the right compressor with the right amount of cfm, a gun that takes the right amount of cfm, a regulator and desiccant system to make sure you are spraying clean dry air, and all kind of other crap. I have seen way to many people think they can paint, and guess what, they bring me their cars. You have to prep the car a certain proper way before paint, you have to use the right grit sandpaper and numerous grits at that, there are a bunch of steps to follow as well. Prepping the car for paint is the hardest part. If you do not do it right the paint will not lay down right and you can get serious orange peel, and an uneven coat. And every paint is different and takes a different type of preparation. Acrylic enamel, acrylic lacquer, acrylic urethane, urethane base, single stage urethane, acrylic single stage urethane, and each one of those different types of paint takes a different type of reducer that has to be mixed to a different ratio. But if you think you can do it, go for it. A good paint job depends on the knowledge of the painter of the products available.

Car has been done for a few weeks. I took some quick pics in the driveway.

Ill have better ones whenever its not too cold outside to detail everything.

Im pretty happy with it, considering it was my first time ever touching a paint gun.
