Well, to be expected - look at the tops of those springs. Look how much contact area there is with OEM spring versus that cut spring.

That's what I mean by "you need to make it look the same".

Thats what I meant by it was cut from the top and got rid of the OE flat top spring shape.

I took the rubber boot off the bottom and cut the spring then put the boot back over it.

Mine has been cut for I'm guessing a week or more now and it drives exactly the same with 2 coils cut out. Looks better IMO. The only question I have is whill the rear being up high or stock height create stress on the driveline system?

At about 70-80 mph I get a bad shake almost like somethings binding up shake. Any other time its fine.

Oh off topic. No cats + no mufflers + Stock manifolds = louder than hell. Maybe I should get a tune to get rid of the CEL. And I cut the cats out because one was clogged and one was rattling crazy. Deff faster. Deff don't hook up at all either.

Check the angle made between the pinion and the driveshaft. There's a certain tolerable amount before it starts eating U-joints, and I admittedly don't know how much angle that is.

+1 the pinion and driveshaft angle and the output shaft to driveshaft angles are probably a little out of line.

I imagined they would be out of line but was wondering if it would be safe. I guess I will cut the rears tomorrow.

i drove mine like that for about a month before i finally got around to doin the back. You are going to need an alignment, then front end is gonna have some killer camber.

Like i said, i never cut the springs, because that seeming fairly common sense but it soundn't of made my ride so terrible regardless. I'm nervous of trying it again so i may just get H&R's instead.

Well, I had my springs cut (the front was lowered by an 1.25 and the rear 1.5) and the ride isn't that bad. I'll admit it can be a bit stiff at times but it's tolerable.

I'm not keeping the cut springs forever; just wanted to see how low I wanted my car to go before I invested in some official springs.

If you're not sure how low you want to go, and don't mind playing around with your current springs, maybe try getting them cut? Everyone is different though.

well my opinion in the matter is i seen kids cutting springs on many mustangs the ride is different in a car with aftermarket springs then one with stocks chops. I personally would just spend the money and do it right i noticed from the eibach pro kits that the springs are a different thichness then the stock gt springs. I agree dont be cheap with your car your suspension is important to your performance of your car unless your like some of the kids who dont care and just want a lowered vehicle im personally the type that like to know that the car is put together right. But u can cut them just be carefull how much you cut to much and your tires will wear wired and they are not cheap to replace.
