5.4 4v VS 4.6 4v

Im going pick up a 5.4 4v tomorrow from a navigator. just wondering what complications are had for swaping in this motor to my car. im on an auto trans also. I will be rebuilding most of the motor . i can get either one for 194 bucks...just wondering what one i should get and if the 5.4l 4v will even fit.

Thinking of the cobra R i figured it would since its an sn95 body under the hood basically. Where can i find the thread on this, thanks. So excited

-You'll need adapters to make the cobra and mach intakes work
-long tubes aren't available
-the a/c line the strut tower has to be relocated
-the k member has to be spaced doen 12mm to allow for clearance at the master cylinder
-a 4.6 coolant crossover will have to be modified to fit

Where do you live?

A 5.4 4y motor would be totally sick but would cost a fortune to build up if you ever wanted too.

I personally would go with the drop in 4.6 4 valve.

Nice when i pulled mine i payed 250. Then got a 120 back for core return so essentially i payed 130 for all of it. Harness everything a 50% off day@ normally the engines are 500 if they had less then 100k miles.
