looks like you may have had an aftermarket header panel installed at some point and it wasn't properly drilled. I would just drill out two holes in it and secure the cover properly with some push pins.

yes. the car was in a collision and the header panel was replaced. i could drill the panel and put two push pins but im still wondering why it doesnt fit. further things about it are i cannot put the pushpin in on the top right side because the cover wont stay down and the hood prop cant be put into its clip. so is my radiator cover ok and i have the wrong header panel? so replacing that would fix it?

After accidents, who knows just because everything was replaced doesnt mean things will be perfect again.

If they used a cheap ebay header panel it usually isn't going to line up perfectly. I used one in the past. It was attractive because it was only $11. In the end it fit like you would expect an $11 part to fit and I ended up having to shave some off and drill new holes as well.

You can replace it with a factory one and see if that improves things or you could just drill new holes, use push pins and get some hood shocks so you can just remove the prop rod.

You are going to spend about the same either way.

thats ok. it looks like yours fits and the pins on yours lines up where as on mine the pins are supposed to go where the circles are but its no where near the holes where i put the rx's. i might try to find a junk yard one maybe it will be better
