Another quick question is i was using a normal pressure gauge rated to 200psi would this be ok it wasnt liquid filled or anything. Im not sure if that will have a different reading tho.

Did you check clearances when you built it?

I just replaced and rebuilt my engine....

A bearing that is out of tolerance, a missing plug on any of the oil galleys, a bad spring in the oil pump, etc.

Gauges are liquid filled just to dampen vibration. It may slow the needle slightly, but it doesn't have a great effect on accuracy here, and it isn't an issue in this case.

I know it isn't what you want to hear, but something isn't right inside your engine. I'd highly recommend tearing it down and finding the issue before it starts making shavings out of the bearings.

Ok i understand what your saying im going to be taking the cover off cause i dont think its any of my bottom end bearings because all my tolerances were good. I replaced my pump too could something be bleeding the pressure at all?

You didn't use plastigage to determine your tolerances, did you? As far as what could cause the loss of pressure, I mentioned the possible causes in my previous post.

No plasigauge lol No no a buddy of my dads put this together with me and i cant rememher off hand what it was exactly but they were all pretty much matching identically i know that.

I know they were all tight. I really doubt its the bottom end tho its not making a dang sound i was thinking would my tension-ers be bleeding off pressure?

I can't see the tensioners being the culprit, unless the bolts attaching them to the block weren't torqued to spec. If the bearing tolerances were indeed within spec, then I'd lean towards a missing oil galley plug or an issue with the oil pump. Which oil pump did you go with?

I went with the ford racing high volume cobra pump, Where are the plugs at? What about the heads somewhere in there could i be leaking or something?
