Inner Fender Wiring Harness.

I run HPDE's and my left front tire rubbed a hole in my inner fender and started on the wiring harness behind it. Im just wondering how or where to move it so it wont rub anymore. we rewrapped it with tape, but everywhere we seem to move it itll still be in the way. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks, Ben

I'm in the same boat as you. The PO left mine with several wires rubbed through. I re-spliced them and taped it up, then pulled it as far inwards as possible and zip-tied it. It has worked so far, but I think it would be a good idea to move the whole branch inside the splash guard, more into the engine compartment.

Yes Ive done the same thing, move it up and zip tie it. Its still so close because you cant move it much.

I am aware of this bundle of wiring, as I can see it through the hole rubbed in my liner as well. I have not contacted it, but probably because of my SLA suspension. I would recommend removing the liner and installing a flat piece of sheet metal over the area in which it is being contacted by the tire.

This will protect them completely

Thanks Jazzer, theres just no way to get them completely out of the way. ill try a piece of sheet metal next time. Plus, id love to have the griggs SLA but cant afford that lol. Im pretty sure i need stiffer springs.

Yup. I mean if you eventually rub through the tire you have a spare, but if you rub through the harness you don't have a spare, right?
