T45.... No reverse? This is embarassing

My 96' Cobra has 97,000 miles. Not sure if the tranny has ever been touched before. But my reverse is nearly impossible to get. REALLY. I've driven lots of t5 cars, and i do the whole role forward then reverse deal. But most of the time this still doesn't work. When it does go in reverse it doesn't pop out. Could this be a shifter adj? I have a B&M.

All of my other gears seem fine. I've caught a tooth of two in second oh and fith seems to still be spinning when i try for it sometimes. Could my synchronizers be going? Let me know what yall think

If you dont have stop adjusters then that wont be theproblem. But the T-45 has been having problems with reverse for a LONG time thats why the tr3650 has elec. reverse. Ford has TSB's about it for a long time. If you abuse the tranny it wont last. especially in a Cobra. Was probably the owner before you

heh yeah you're right on that one - my first impression when i bought my slowbra nearly a year ago and had to back out of the parking space it was in was "damn, can't get the sob into reverse" ...and thus a lot of embarrassing moments trying to parallel park in downtown seattle when the sucker just wont get into gear has occurred, even when i put her in first gear, wait a second, then RAM the thing into reverse it won't go sometimes.... so yeah, i hear ya loud and clear.

my reverse is a sob sometimes, when it wont go into gear i have to engage the clutch 2 or 3 times then it will go

My Dad's Cobra had to go back to the dealer about a week after he bought it new, wouldnt go into reverse.
