so im wondering who out there has replaced their front input shaft seal on their t-45. I know people have done it and im looking to find out how they did it.i know the bellhousing bolts from inside so you have to take off the tail housing to get the the bolts of the bell housing. but whoever is out there and has done this please help me out.

THANKS

im confused

I've taken my tranny down many more times than I'd like to admit. Im confused about the input shaft seal ? Are you talking about the o ring on the input shaft collar? Either way you don't have to take the tail shaft off. Youo Di need the tyranny out all the way of course. The bolts are inside the bellhousing not the tailshaft. If I remember there are 8 to10 of them. Now be really careful because the guts if the tyranny can move and you're not gonna want that. The input shaft collar is pressed in you can beat it out with a rubber mallet or do what u did bring it to pepboys and ask one of the mechanics that are on break an tip him ten bucks. Now heres where I went wrong make sure you order the o ring separately from the collar they do not come together. Yes you might as well replace the collarif you have to place the seal it'd a common area of breakdown in the t 45 if you need more info feel free to give me a shout 757 3055009 hope that helps

ya that helps. i knew there were bolts back there but i didnt know if i could replace the seal through there. basically my t45 is leaking into the bellhousing and about to get on my clutch so i need to fix it before the fluid hits the clutch. do you have any part numbers for the seals?
