probaly valve stem seals. Good time to just go and do a PI head swap while at it . I have that now, but im building a whole new motor soon im not sweating it and its not that serious .

its burning oil this is typical for a mustang motors, if its a 4.6 then that's what it is as long as its not bad i wouldn't worry bout it to much but yes most def a good time to switch to a pi swap. The other question not asked is do u have a cat less h pipe or x pipe some of that smoke could be from not having cats mine does this now and its not using any oil and only has 40 thousand on the motor does it smell rich ?

Sounds like valve stem seals. If it was piston rings the smoke would be more and more as you rev and drive the car. It seems like for you it is only when you first start it in the morning, so definitely valve stem seals. I had the same issue. I took it as an opportunity for a port and polish and PI intake swap xD

Depends on your mechanical ability and if there are complications. Me doing it, maybe 12 hours with the engine in the car, 10 pulling the engine. Way more if I hit complications such as stubborn bolts or something.
