the easiest way to tell is look in the valley (behind the alternator)
a P.I. intake will be very deep as to where a NPI is shallow.

I'm sure some of the NPI guys will know right away from looking at the pics. you posted but i'm not that good lol.

What year crown vic.
It looks like one to me...
If the first intake runner goes to the driver side then i believe it is. (first as in closest to the front of the car)

Ah it must of been an '03. There is a good amount of them kicking around there. The reason why i think it is, is because of the oil cap on the passenger side and it looks slightly different from my npi. Also, what cars have a 75mm throttle body? I can't find a single v8 explorer there.

I believe it is. Unless npi crown vics put the oil fill on the left. But I think windsor pis oil fill is on the left. I would wait for further input though. Im no expert and only been doing this for a short while.

Well I did notice the c.o.p. (coil over plug) Which started in 98 and 01+ vics had the oil cap on the left which 01 started the pi for the crown vic so I would say yes.

take that plenum because its very easy to port and go look for a 5.4 motor and pull the Tbody..i did that and after 1 hour of port and polish i had a 73mm setup for under 60 bucks..i had a thread on here about the 5.4 throttlebody mod, the tobdy is 70mm but it actually has casting that can be taken out without hindering the throttlbalde, which is actually 73 or 74mm but the throttlebody is 70mm, i have taken the whole thing apart and measured the shit....and make shur that that car didnt go there from a cracked manifold to begin with, i see lots of 4.6's npi and pi with cracked mani's towards the bottom of them..

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I'll take one from the one with the least amount of mileage. Yeah i also hear they're prone to have a crack right near the thermostat. Mines already a 70mm TB, maybe i should just port and polish that one instead?

i just seen canada...i thought it sucked for me here in wisconsin...nothing like coldfingers getting hit by cold steel...big warm cloths just hinder you and your work so its be cold and efficent or warm and slow, cold bolts like to snap and lighters work like shit when its cold and your numb hands try and flic the bic..hahaha i feel ya, im a junkyard monkey..
heres a pic of when i had the ported 5.4 Tbody and newstyle plenum on..the Tbody took very little works to make fit,if you need help if you find one let me know..and as you see the Tbody needs a stopscrew rigged in to stop the trottleplate from going past open and actually shutting a bit..
