Clutch problems...
Well last night I'm cruising down the street when suddenly a red light. So here I am stopped at this light waiting for it to turn green, it does and as I'm pushing in the clutch and putting it in 1st disaster struck... Not sure what has happened yet but was wanting some of your expertise/opinions.
Things I can't do - Shift into any gears - Turn my car on(Clutch won't engage) What started it? At the light when I pushed the clutch in, the instant the pedal touched the floor a distinctively loud snap, crackle and pop... Also it makes this terrible noise anytime the pedal is down now. Like 2 cracking/breaking noises. Anyone have any ideas? I'm really not looking forward to pulling the engine out of this again... |

Alright went back out and re-looked my car and pulled the pedal all the way up (it clicked) pushed it down (was very stiff and loud snap halfway down) pedal fell to the floor pushed it down all the way (started car) sounds fine, pulled the pedal back up (it clicks and I could also hear a constant "chirping" sound.) Also the chirping goes away after I push in the clutch pedal and it (snaps)
I'm hoping it's just the clutch and nothing expensive, lol. |

im thinking maybe your clutch cable snapped? sounds like it, because I had a clutch cable snap on me before, I went to shift to 3rd and pressed the clutch and it snapped and the pedal went to the floor.

Alright I think I may have figured it out, I'm thinking it's the quad. Every time I push the clutch in I can see it slip and it "snaps". I just got the cable out and it seems fine, took out the pedal assembly n all and there is pretty much no teeth on it.
