Cams


I have 1998 mustang gt, what are the biggest cams i can put in it, without changing ne thing else.

well if you go any bigger than a stage 1 youll have to replace the springs which isnt a bad thing at all. i am putting comp stage 2 in mine but i have the heads and springs and all that tp handle it. youll need to do springs when you put a cam in anyways. its a safty measure that can save your motor and save you a lot of motor. theyll keep from floating valves!

With the stock heads and intake I wouldn't put anything bigger than PI cams in. Comp makes some cams for the non-pi's but you won't get great power either way.

if you are gonna have cams put it you might as well save some more money and have some pi heads put on and springs

youll get a lot mor epower from just the pi swap tha n you will with big cams on thise non-pi heads. anyways good luck wih whatever you decide
