Need opinions On A New Hood

Looking to buy a new hood for my 98 GT unfortunately i do not need to clear a KB YET !!!! but i do want a big rise 4" or so. I have been looking at the double rise cowl but not sure, would love to see some pics of some sn95s with aftermarket hoods if possible.

4" is a huge cowl. I wouldn't go that big unless it's an rr hood ( what you called a double rise cowl.)

The 94-98 has very curvy body panels and an outright 4" straight rise cowl would add some very sharp square lines on the car. The new edge (99-04) has alot more straight lines and hard curves to pull that off.

Here is my hood, it is a Saleen heat extractor hood.

4" is a pretty big hood. i've got a 4" H.O. Fibertrends hood on my '02 GT and it actually doesnt look bad but just keep in mind what 97S281 said about the body lines of the SN95 body style. i agree with him that a hood with sharp/edgy lines wont look right on the earlier body style.

if you're not concerned with the price, i would look at anything from cervini's and H.O Fibertrends is worth a look too. i'm happy with the fit and finish of my hood, even being a used piece.

It looks like fiberglass to me. Mine had a small stress crack in the vent and a minor damaged area at the back when I got it but the shop fixed it before paint so I am sure any reputable shop could fix yours as well.
