I have 03/04 cobra wheels on my 96 and i have 275/40/17s and 255/40/17s they fit great but becareful on steep hills at angels i have hit my fender well a couple times, i would recommend getting the fenders rolled. But i also have a 1" spacer on the back

The 275s will rub on the front but will fit fine out back.

So are spacers necessary?

275/40/17 will not fit on the front?

IIRC on the 94-98 a 275 will rub the control arm on the front.

anyways why would you wanna run a 275 on the front? seems like it would slow you down more than anything i run a 255 and its plenty wide

i got the 255 on the front and the 275s out back. but the wheel spacers in the back, they just really fill in the gap in the fender well cleans it up nice. But any time i flex on a hill or driveway it will scrub at the top. but im going to roll my fenders soon and drop it some more, and it will be fine.

They will rub on the front strut. I used 255's up front and they rubbed so I am sure 275's would be a lot worse.

Hmmm, that is interesting. I wonder why mine rubbed the strut. I actually have a spot where the paint was rubbed off.
