Depending on how much boost you wanna run and what condition the 98 is in,you can easily out muscle the Cobra.
The most important aspect is a proper tune if your running a decent amount of boost. A well tuned 98 can make about 400rwhp safely on the stock motor depending on how hard you run it and maintain etc. What kind of budget do you have ?

Depends. Probably the most popular centri S/C is the Procharger Click the link below and click on the Application Guide on the left side in the grey box. They will send you a free catalog to.
http://www.procharger.com/FORD/ford_auto.shtml KB's are the shit also ,very popular ,but they cost a bit more. You can get a 2.1L twin screw big bore for like $5000 with intercooler and boost a pump. Non-intercooled is about $3900. http://www.kennebell.net/supercharge...2v/gt96-04.htm

have you done a pi swap yet? the guys on modular depot forums are getting gains of 99rwhp off a pi swap with cams and header back. that stuff are also done with the vt heads and cams.

I can say that over 300 rwhp is very possible assuming the install/tune is done right.
People Ive talked to that have had VT heads say that they weren't really impressed considering the price. Dont get me wrong,VT is the shit. ,but the money would be better spent elsewhere IMO. Yeah,a PI swap isnt that difficult if you take your time .
