Fog Lights or Window Tint?

I want to buy something for my car before I go back to college next week. I was thinking about tinting my windows. But I can barely see the road when it rains outside and could deff use some fog lights, Ill just wire them up myself and use a toggle switch for them. Id get the kit from AM. Are fog lights really that effective tho?

No, they are barely noticable on these cars. After market fogs might put out more light but the stockers definately suck. Given a choice between the two I would go with the tint.

the only fogs i like are the cobra ones but you obviously need a cobra bumper. personally with your bumper I would skip the fogs and tint and do something else. tints overrated and like 97 said those gt fogs suck.

If your looking for just a visual mod you could go with a S281 spoiler. They have carbon fiber ones on Ebay if you like that and don't want to pay to get one painted. Otherwise most shops will charge around $100 to paint a spoiler. It makes a very nice difference on these cars.

I already have that spoiler. I just painted my car a few months ago. The main reason Im getting tint is because my car gets super hot in the summer. Black car with Black interior = sizzle

say whaa? I have some crystal clear fog lights for the stock bumper and I can almost drive without my headlights at times... well i have at times actually. and in heavy fog yes they do work extremely well to use them without headlights on.

also i have my windows tinted too. be prepared for the screwy dot matrix, i preferred to leave the area un-tinted, looks great from the outside but you can definently tell that it is un-tinted when driving but it doesn't affect light transparency due to wait for it..........the dot matrix! ohhhhhhh. god i'm to tired from work.

personally I would do the fog lights, if you think about it window tint does the opposite, allows you to see less.

I wouldnt get fog lights for appearance purposes. I would get them so I can see driving at night. Maybe my bulbs are just horrible, either way Ive already made an appointment to get my windows tinted next weekend.

Ditto. I know I have a new car, but the fog lights ARE very effective and I too can drive with them and no actual headlights if I wanted. Great light and especially in areas with very little light. I drive from Penns. and West Virgina often and can tell you that there are areas that have no street lights believe it or not and the fogs light it up!

If you're having trouble seeing the road get the fogs, forget the tint. It's better to be able to see than to add cosmetics for the car. If you can't see you wreck, if you wreck doesn't much matter what the car looks like because the cars gone... 'Cmon Man!!

Well there you go, looks like you need to get some of those.

I will say that the ones I had were on my wife's old 98 vert and they may have been kinda cloudy. I never thought of replacing them because they just didn't seem worth it. I guess I was wrong there.
