On3 turbo, 4v swap, or bike??
So I have about 4-5k to use on myself but I cant seem to decide on one option. I want to go fi and eventually swap to a 4v but I want a bike too. Ugh! Any suggestions??

4v. So in the future you can fi it. That way your not wasting mo.ey fi the 2v to still want a 4v.
Plus either of the first two options can be driven all year. A bike cant. Get whatever you want. I know i want to mod my stang and maybe do a mark8 swap but at the same time id still want a harley. I know its tough. The extra power will be cool but after a while itll be ehhh. And youll be used to it. But the bike is a change from the normal car drives. Kinda makes it interesting here and there. |

I just bought a 2005 Yamaha R6 for 4100. Haven't ridden it much yet because it is winter here but supposedly it takes a 600hp cobra to keep up with a small 600cc sportbike like the r6 or gsxr600

4v. Its a better building platform, so when you can save up more and do an on3 onto that, you will have much more option and power.

It will cover most of it. $5k covered my Cobra motor with lots of upgrades and goodies, and that's with all the accessories and such for the motor, with ported blower, pullies and intercooler system. Throw in another $500 and that's fuel covered too. After that the only thing you've got to worry about is not blowing the rest of your car to pieces.

I am a bit partial to the 4-valve swap.

As one who has done multiple 4v swaps, I say you turbo/super that bitch with the 2v, get an MMR short and enjoy it.
WHY. Well okay, Ill tell you (writing this before anyone responds so I may amend it.). First the 4v, as a B series is extremely limiting- You wouldn't go for this one, would you ( I did, twice) Second the 4v, as a C series is amazing- So I bet you would wanna go with this one. Great! 1000 HP on a stock Tekskid? Sure thing- problem here is, these motors are at a huge premium- They are worth it, ask termi_GT- What you run into is that your car wont support just a motor swap. What trans you running? What fuel? Do you have the drive train sourced? Also IF you got it and in the car for 5k- GREAT! Now, are you going to modify that motor? Blower? Pullies? Damn, you just distroyed the hub in your auto or the mid shaft in your standard. Why? Not rated for that HP- What about your fuel again? Stand alone? Aeromotive? T-Rex? Did you upgrade the cooling in the car with the motor swap? Tube K member? For the money, you cant do what you want to with a termi- If you MUST have a good 4v in your car, look into the Mach C 4v, as it can run NA, will have less to put in to support it. So basically if you stay NA, you wont have many problems, but if I was swapping in a C I would already be on the parts list to put a blower on it, you might too- To finish up my reason *and this book*, with a KB or snail on your 2v, you are capable of 440HP/400ish RWHP, that will be a beast on the track and a great car to drive- with MUCH less work. I was thinkin of turbo and wait until I blow my 2v by "accident" and tell the wife that 4v is a replacement engine lol. As for the bike, my mustang isnt a dd so my bike wouldn't be either. Ima see if can go on3 and 4v but out here in California people think that mark viii engines are worth more than gold.

Mark motors are good, just think of it as a better flowing 2v like yours and you will be fine. Actually, your motor has all it needs to dress the wiring and fuel of a 4v B
You should be able to pick up a good complete mark b for 500-700 if its a low mileage GOOD one. I just sold one for 400 to a guy using it in a hot rod. If you DO look for a Mark 4v, try and find a 96-98 as the intake is perfect for your swap. I picked mine up on ebay for 36$ shipped and it included injectors and rails. |

I'm a 4v swap guy too...
honestly, if you can confidently say you will be happy with 400-500rwhp you will be fine with a FI 2v. the only reason i went 4v is because i needed a motor anyway...i could have re-built my 2v but when i came across my 43K Mark VIII motor for $400, i couldnt say no. if my 2v would have held up, i would have went with a P1SC or else that On3 setup you had mentioned in the OP. 450rwhp is 450rwhp, be it either 2v or 4v.

I would be comfortable with 4-500 rwhp anything after that I would just go with the new 5.0

Then really, put a KB on your car man. I drove a 1998 GT with a PI swap and a KB, made 502RWHP@DEZ Racing in RI. INSANE is a good way to put it, along with the words shit, hell, OMG, etc.
As I stated before, for the money I would have rather have gone that route. |

I ran 13.6 on my mark 8 swap with stock gears and a power robbing auto. A mark swap with 4.10 gears will be a lot less than going turbo and be a nice upgrade from your non PI 2v. Once you go turbo their is always somthing else that needs to be upgraded.
Just my .02 Robert
