p0401
this code is driving me nuts. it comes and goes. be on for a few days, then goes off for a few days. ughhh. it is an egr flow insufficient. need help on where to start. thanks in advance folks.

if at first you don't succeed, try a bigger hammer. it if doesn't fit, force it. if it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.

Do you hear anything around the egr when you step on it? I had one with a bad dpfe and it kept blowing the hose off. It was very noticable.

If you're dpfe sensor is made of metal, more then likely your problem because of that being the one it came with from the factory. If its plastic someone has swapped a newer one on at some point.
