Cracked timing cover!

I was going to change my tensioner on my car and i noticed a little crack, so i pulled the valve cover and saw that the cover had about a 2 inch crack in it. i tried Americanmuscle.com but couldt find one on there. i am wanting to get a new one with gasket. and also where could i find a service manual or something like that, that will show most of the torque specs for the car. My car throws a belt sometimes when i get on it and it'll detonate at 5k rpms and has a pretty bad idle surge sometimes. i was told that my tensioner looked a little bent and was going to replace it, then take it down to Strictly performance and have them tune the car. The car has stage 2 or 3 cams and vortec supercharger and i list done to it. any advice would really help! i mainly need to know where to buy a timing chain cover! Thanks

i didnt have the car when the cams were put in. but im pretty sure they are stage 3. and whats the easiest way to replace the timing cover? Take both valve covers off? or any suggestions? and what about the idle surge and detonation at 5k?

I think you need a better tune. Maybe some timing work to retard the detonation. The idle surge could be anything from a TPS, IAC or vacuum/intake leak.
