flows with what catted pipe


Im going to get a catted mid pipe due to the law, i have flowmaster delta 40's on my 96 gt, i wanna get a catted mid pipe that sounds alot louder then my mufflers does anyone have any suggestions, also will it require 02 sensors now to pass inspection????

Yes. You need to plug the rear oxygen sensors into the bungs on the new catted midpipe. The rear sensors test the catalyst of the converters to make sure emissions is in check.

I enjoy my cattless X. But catted pipes in my opinion sound just as good and in a couple dyno tests i have seen only flow better by 4-8rwhp. So its better to be a friend of the law than not to.

So it goes....im not gonna say anytihng about power and sound with a X and a H. But its all opinion. I like my X-pipe. I know people who swear to the H-pipe.

In most cases you will get youre catted pipe, and you will need the remove the 02s and put them i the new pipe. some people have good luck with the 02s reading the new cat..... some people dont. And will need the 02 resistors. They just trick youre PCM into seeing the exact values it needs.

I guess I got lucky or something (knock on wood) because when I had my catless X installed my check engine light didn't come on... and still hasn't.
