Torque Converter lockup schedualing.

So i've been working on my tune and i was wondering if on the stock converter anyone knew what would be the best times to lock and unlock at WOT. I have heard so many things, and no local tracks are open for me to test this out. Any idea what may be an ideal point, would def like to reduce 1/4 times more if possible .

There are just too many variables here to be able to throw out accurate numbers. In my 4V car, I lock the converter at ~5500 rpm in second, unlock for the shift, then lock up just after the shift completes (~5400 rpm). Those points have netted the best E.T.'s for me, but that's behind a blown/stroked 4V engine in a heavier car with a DirtyDog-built converter and 4R70W.

Honestly, dialing it in at the track is the best method.

X2 Great advice here. If you try to adjust lockup running around on the street you're just pissing in the wind.

Behind a stock engine, it'll decrease its life expectancy, but it will work for awhile. If you're running any kind of power adder, I wouldn't attempt it without being prepared to replace it.

The new setup will be 500-550 or so.
