engine rebuild

i have a 97 gt so i have been thinking of i have been thinking of swapping to a cobra motor then supercharge but i think for simplicity i will just rebuild my bottom end with forged internals and buy some patriot heads, cam it and supercharge down the line. Does this sound like a decent idea or is there a cheaper way to have a strong durable high hp motor

yea, buy a gm. jk. There really isn't any other way to have a strong durable igh hp motor unless u do what u said to it. After the 450-500 mark ur gonna snap a crank, fry a piston ring, etc etc. You might not do it right away, but if ur running high boosts on a stock motor, it will happen eventually.

sounds like you have a good plan for rebuilding your motor. check out http://vtengines.com/main.htm you can get your forged internals, heads, and cams from them. i'd buy their heads and some blower cams instead of buying the patriot heads.
